Outside Sales Representative

Steve Joyner Consulting Services, a technology implementation consulting firm in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina, is currently seeking an Outside Sales Representative to represent our company to new customers in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.

Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, preferably in the technology market.  Strong customer focus and a drive to succeed are imperative.  Knowledge of the technology consulting industry is a strong plus.  Experience and prior success in sales is a must.

You will work with our technology consultants and with our customers to provide technology solutions that maximize value for our customers.  Based on your interaction with our customers, you will offer guidance to our consultants in the implementation of technology projects as well as on-going maintenance and support for our technology implementations.  You will be responsible for understanding our customer’s unique problems and helping to provide long-term value-based solutions.  You will be responsible for managing your sales territory to maximize our service to our customers and to drive revenue for our business.

 Qualifications:

  • * Qualified candidates should have at least 3-5 years of demonstrated success in outside sales/account management, preferably in the technology consulting industry.
  • * Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills.   Professional and polished with excellent verbal and written communication skills plus a strong desire to
      succeed and grow financially.
  • * Reliable transportation (mileage allowance is provided) and a valid driver license is required.
  • * Excellent knowledge of our market conditions and the ability to develop strong customer relationships that meet revenue expectations.
  • * Must be able to multitask and manage a number of different customers and coordinate with our technology consultants.
  • * Must be able to develop proposals including documented activity levels and solutions.

Requirements:

  • * Responsible for developing and servicing a new customer base.
  • * Maintains sustained sales activities; phone calls, marketing letters, appointments, assessments, proposals, etc.
  • * Applies a consultative approach to analyzing customer needs and requirements.
  • * Assist companies in understanding the value of advanced technological products and software.
  • * Keeps abreast of changes in technology and possesses an understanding of basic user abilities in order to propose solutions that work for our customers.
  • * Serves as first line of contact with customers.  Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate documentation of customer contact and activities.  Prepares
      daily/weekly action plans to insure focused activity.
  • * You will work independently or with a consultant.  The position is commissioned-based with long term and recurring compensation based on account performance that will
      reward sales professionals who are willing to work hard and have solid sales closing skills.
  • * Performs quarterly account reviews to ensure accurate assessment levels.
